BRAKKE CONSULTING VIEWPOINT

A number of companies since the first of the year have been conducting annual sales and management meetings to implement the sales and marketing plans for the year charted by senior management. Based on discussions with some industry managers it appears that 2014 will be another year of battling for market share in some of the leading product categories. We believe that the improving economy will allow for some revenue growth in animal health because of increased consumer spending. We learned in the past several years that the industry is not totally immune to recessionary pressures.

Thanks to all of the individuals that have signed up for the 2014 Animal Health Industry Overview in Orlando next Monday. We have a sell-out in Orlando because of the room size so we’ve had to close registrations. There is, however, still space at the Overview in Las Vegas in February. Also, at the Western Veterinary Conference this year we expect to present a two-hour session on the Japanese and Chinese Animal Health Markets. These presentations will be made by our Japanese and Chinese consultants. You will be hearing more about these two presentations in future newsletters and mailings.

Have a great weekend!! We will see many of you in Orlando this weekend.
